Lore Olympus Hades Vinyl Figure:
Weta Workshop has been crafting something truly divine in collaboration with artist and writer Rachel Smythe. An unprecedented fusion of creativity from the world of Lore Olympus that promises to be an enchanting addition to your collection and a momentous occasion for fans the webtoon.
For over 30 years, Weta Workshop has been bringing imaginary worlds to life, from film and television to art exhibits and collectibles, all from a little place in the corner of the world called New Zealand. So, when Weta heard about a fellow New Zealand artist making a splash on the international stage by crafting her own imaginary world, they couldn’t wait to reach out and join forces.
Rachel Smythe’s webtoon Lore Olympus has captivated viewers from all over the globe, resonating deeply with its explorations of relationships, ideals, and social hierarchies. That’s why Weta Workshop is supremely honored to be part of the journey, helping to bring these memorable characters and moments off the page and onto your shelves.
In the shadowy realms of the underworld, where even the rays of Apollo dare not tread, there is little to lift one’s spirits. Burdened by an ever-growing legion of souls to shepherd, countless creatures to command, and a celestial family tree that’s more twisted than a labyrinth, Hades finds himself dulled by an exquisite blend of melancholy and suppressed yearnings.
That is, until one fateful night, when a tempestuous young goddess bursts into his life, uninvited and utterly irresistible…
Weta Workshop has taken on the challenge of translating Hades, the enigmatic ruler of the underworld, from his 2D origins into a breathtaking 3D masterpiece. Captured at the very beginning of his journey, this figure embodies the melancholic yet curious side of Hades, a god whose shadowy existence is suddenly illuminated by the arrival of the bright and radiant Persephone. Daniel Holland has meticulously sculpted every detail, from the brooding expression that hints at a deep well of emotions to the subtle nuances of his posture, reflecting his intrigue and guarded heart. The iconic design has been faithfully lifted straight from the pages of Lore Olympus, bringing to life the striking contrasts and bold lines that define Smythe’s art. The Lore Olympus Hades Vinyl Figure measures approximately 6 1/3-inches tall. Ages 14 and up
